Daniel was visiting a new city and wanted to take the train to the old town. At the station, he could not understand the platform signs because several trains were listed on the same board. On his way, he noticed an older traveler looking at the same board. He offered to help and showed her the elevator. They found their platforms just in time. Daniel learned that asking a clear question can save time, and that a polite offer of help can make an unfamiliar place feel friendlier.
